IBM Texas Employees Federal Credit Union was living with a traditional branch look while based in the unique and distinctive city of Austin, TX, whose slogan promotes and advises their community to "Keep Austin Weird." The credit union needed to liven things up, showcase their roots in technology and innovation, and demonstrate their ability to serve a broader range of people.
NewGround revived the credit union with a new name, brand, and retail branch design: AMPLIFY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION was born, reflecting the credit union's desire to amplify and extend their commitment to their members well being. NewGround developed a new retail branch design for AMPLIFY that is a convergence of technology, communications, systems and service capabilities. AMPLIFY's Account Management Professionals use wireless note pads to sit down with members to answer questions, take loan application information, open accounts, and build relationships. This dynamic environment also provides video conferencing, Wi-Fi hotspots and a Smart Bar where members have the option of hooking up their laptops and getting instant information on their finances. A Switch Kit Kiosk features wireless computers and Sprint® phones to demonstrate the ease of switching accounts to AMPLIFY and handling transactions online or by phone. Everything on the floor is mobile to accommodate after hours events including seminars and Xbox® gaming sessions.
