Terrace Bank was operating in the rapidly growing Tampa, Florida market with a brand name that was geographically limited. The bank's name was derived from Temple Terrace, a suburb of Tampa, having little or no meaning to other communities and newcomers. The bank wanted to create a brand and banking experience that was customer-focused and progressive, while differentiating itself in Tampa's saturated market.

Solution

With NewGround's help and expertise, Terrace Bank was transformed to PILOT BANK. Our consulting team was able to narrow expansion options down to the highest growth areas within the Tampa market. Through focus groups, mystery shops, product and purchasing analysis, and market research, NewGround searched out and found the optimum location for a new office. A new brand name, logo, and brand experience were developed to demonstrate the bank's customer-focused approach. NewGround used aeronautical imagery as a metaphor for soaring higher and achieving dreams. PILOT BANK has created a banking experience that demonstrates their brand at every customer touch point within their new office in Tampa, and has begun converting their six existing offices.
